Employment Type: Temporary Part Time - To 10 June 2025Position Classification: Speech Pathologist Level 3Remuneration: $57.77 - $56.54 per hourHours Per Week: 32Requisition ID: REQ545634Applications Close: 17 January 2025Interview Details: Scheduled within 10 days of closingWhat You'll Be DoingProvide senior speech pathology clinical services within the Southern Area Brain Injury service (SABIS) including optimisation of client care delivery, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of staff.Facilitate interventions to develop a client's physical and independent living skills to optimum functioning.
This will be based on client goals and in collaboration with the SABIS team and any relevant third parties.The Level 3 Speech Pathologist will provide services to adult clients of SABIS via community outreach and inreach to clients of the Transitional Living Unit.
Telehealth is also used to support patients as required in the wider SNSWLHD community.

Goulburn is 45 minutes from Canberra, 2hrs to the beach and 2hrs from Sydney.Selection CriteriaTertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology with eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.Extensive experience in rehabilitation with a well-developed knowledge of brain injury services and ability to work with minimal supervision as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team.Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation.Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands, with an ability to independently problem-solve, and set priorities in complex situations.Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes with other staff.Ability to provide case management for people with complex needs in community setting.Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain.
Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires.
