Our Disability Services team supports people with disabilities to lead their best life, at home and in the community. They provide supported independent living to more than 500 people through a range of disability and aged care funding packages, including the NDIS. The Senior Speech Pathologist is a role within Quality and Clinical Services and is accountable to the Allied Health Manager for:
Providing high-quality speech pathology services, professional clinical supervision, advice and consultancy, and education around appropriate interventions and service development and practice, to clients, staff of Disability Services, management, and stakeholders as required.Providing professional and clinical leadership in the planning, development, and establishment of evidence-based, best practice within a multi-disciplinary team.Working collaboratively with clients, families, and carers to improve support provided to people in a way that is respectful of people's human rights, puts the client at the centre of planning, and aims to improve the quality of life for clients living with disabilities.Delivering services to clients of Disability Services for Older Australians (DSOA) and participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), in accordance with the goals outlined in their Plans, providing a service that aligns with the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators provided by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.Special Conditions: Employment-related Screening Check required.National Police Check required.Some out-of-hours work may be required.Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).Essential Qualifications: Incumbent must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia.
