Medforce have teamed up with a resourceful, detail-oriented and forward-thinking Children's Disability Service in Tullamore to recruit a Senior Speech and Language Therapist on a part-time basis.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with school-aged children who have complex needs and their families. The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will work with children presenting a range of communication difficulties, including speech, language, social communication, and feeding/swallowing disorders.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other specialists, working collaboratively to provide comprehensive care and support to children and their families.
Working with children who have complex needs is challenging yet a deeply rewarding place to practice Speech and Language Therapy. There are support networks in place to enable you to be the best therapist you can be and make a real difference to children and their families.
Role: This is a Specified Purpose Contract for 6 months initially with a view to extend, part-time 17.5 hours, Monday – Friday. Generous annual leave entitlement, paid public holidays, weekly payroll.

Requirements:
BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy or its equivalent.
CORU Registration is essential.
3+ years post-graduate experience for the Senior post.
Full Drivers Licence with access to own transport.
Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and children with intellectual disabilities (desirable).
An undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in dysphagia and at least 6 months experience working in this area.
