As a Senior Specialist Support Coordinator, you are expected to work collaboratively with your Team Leader and Operations Manager to provide additional support in guidance and mentoring of the Level 2 support coordination staff.The Team:The Support Coordination team, here at Blue Iris are a highly regarded team within the complex spaces of the NDIS. Our focus as a team is to provide person-centred and human rights-focused supports utilising our wide-ranging knowledge and skills. The team itself are an amazing bunch of humans who collaborate and support each other! We recognise this industry is tough going and we prioritise our wellbeing through directed supervision and team structure. We support each team member's skills, knowledge and experiences to help contribute to collaboration and improvement of practices within the wider team.To be successful in this role, you will need to have:Past or current experience in a Specialist Support Coordination (level 3) working with people with a range of psychosocial disabilitiesUndergraduate degree (preferred) in human services related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Behavioural Science or similarMust hold NDIS Worker Clearance, Blue Card, First Aid & CPR Certificates and NDIS Worker Orientation Module CertificateDemonstrated understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines, and a full range of community services that may be required by participants and applicable legislationSound administrative and IT skillsStrong abilities to build rapport with clients and their families; and various other stakeholdersFinancially literate and be able to review and manage participants budgetsHave reliable transportationStrong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be resilient, patient, empathetic, and an excellent problem-solver; respectful and culturally sensitive – and basically – be a good human!This role is available NOW and we are looking for a person who can hit the ground running – so if you meet the above criteria and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we would love to hear from you!Please submit your application, including your resume and cover letter, outlining your relevant experience and why you are a great fit for this role.APPLY NOW and become part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving lives!
