The Cardiac Services Department comprises two inpatient areas: a 12 bed Cardiac Care Unit and a 12 bed Cardiac Ward, and 2 dedicated cardiac catheterisation laboratories.

Hospital:
A major referral hospital - It operates a 24-hour emergency department.
Inpatient services include intensive and coronary care, acute adult inpatient mental health unit, drug and alcohol brief intervention team, a children's ward, a special care nursery, maternity and gynaecology, a renal unit, orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, ophthalmology, endoscopy, and other day procedures.
Other services include general medicine, neurology, radiation oncology, thoracic medicine, cardiology, infectious diseases, rheumatology, and gastroenterology.
To be considered for the role: Registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner in Cardiology with the Medical Board of Australia/Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA).The successful appointee requires credentialing and scope of clinical practice approved and issued by the CHHHS Credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice Committee.Fellowship experience in heart failure/multi-modal cardiac imaging – echocardiography (transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress), CT coronary angiography/Cardiac MRI.While not mandatory, previous experience in cardiac genetics would be well regarded.
