Full time, continuing position with the University of SydneyExciting opportunity for an experienced Space Analyst to join the University's Infrastructure TeamBase Salary $140,913 - $148,684 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunity The Senior Space Analyst is responsible for managing the University's central data register of all building and campus space information ('Archibus'). This register is linked to other enterprise-wide systems and this role is responsible for managing the spatial database to ensure it is kept up-to-date, accurate and accessible. They must review the quality of the data to assess and rectify any discrepancies.
This role is required to work with other business systems to understand their technical requirements. They will conceptualize, develop, and implement enhancements to the database systems. They will also provide support for facility projects related to CAD and space management, maintaining, and managing master facility drawings including the organizational database. The role will also be required to provide analysis of data and create dashboards to enable management to interpret key business drivers and provide external reports to Go8, TEFMA as well as reporting to external bodies as required.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Oversee the integrity of the space data portfolio and produce space-related reports and analysis for Finance (Central Cost Allocation report), research administration and other regulatory forms.Validate and maintain space related information to various enterprise systems including the timetabling booking system (Syllabus+, Resource Booker), Master Organisational Hierarchy and the Finance Service Portal (UniBuy), as well as reporting on intermittent requests for both internal stakeholders and external entities.Provide technical expertise and issue management to deliver integrated technology and system solutions for effective space planning, data analysis and reporting.Use relevant BI systems to compile, manipulate, analyse, and interpret complex space utilisation information and spatial data into relevant insights, solutions, and performance metrics to contribute to accommodation strategies and space planning.Distribute reports to organisational units, management and other internal end-users and provide interpretation of data when needed.About you Postgraduate qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
Expert knowledge of TEFMA space standards, categories, types, and new CAFM technologies would be highly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge and extensive expertise with the principles and practices of reporting and data analysis, including data quality analysis, data visualisation, predictive analysis, and performance metrics.
Knowledge of software commonly used for facilities design, space management, and maintenance services in a modern campus environment such as ARCHIBUS and the Microsoft Office Suite of Applications.
Proven experience in creating reports, summaries, and dashboards using sophisticated business intelligence platforms, including Power BI.
