We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Solution Architect based in Sydney, NSW to partner with startups and scale-ups across a wide range of industries, and different stages in their lifecycle. You will be equally at ease working with key customers on their specific deep architectural discussions, and also participating in startup community and scale activities.

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, and developing a deep expertise in AWS technologies, as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.

Your experience will include working in, or leading software engineering teams at fast-moving and growing companies within the tech and startup industry. Your customer facing skills will allow you to represent Amazon well within a customer's environment or the broader startup community; as well as a technical background that enables you to easily interact with and give guidance to software developers and architects.

Key job responsibilities
• Partnering with a diverse range of startups to adopt the right architecture at each stage in their lifecycle and driving the architecture of scalable, reliable and secure solutions
• Scoping each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined goals and success criteria
• Driving adoption of a broad range of AWS services to deliver business value and accelerate growth
• Partnering with engineering teams to support the evolution and roadmap of the AWS platform and services through customer feedback
• Building and nurturing technical relationships within the startup ecosystem, including accelerators, incubators and VCs
• Developing startup specific technical content, such as blog posts, sample code and solutions, to assist customers solve technical problems and reduce time-to-market

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Brisbane, QLD, AUS | Sydney, NSW, AUS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries, preferably including startups / digital natives
