Collaborate with various business divisions, and key stakeholders to understand and specify requirements for the future state architecture and solution design for a leading government department. The successful individual will perform end to end solution architecture to evaluate business impact and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Essential Requirements:
• Experience in developing technology strategy to digitise from 2G to a modern 4G LTE/5G wireless capabilities.
• Experience in developing devices with bespoke communication modules at varying frequencies and communication standards is critical to the success of this role.
• Significant experience in Telecommunications including Radio Area Networks, Mobile 4G/5G networks, Systems Integration and Digital Radio Systems.
• Strong understanding of Digital radio system cores (voice, packet core, value added services and dispatch) and system integration, fixed networks with especially MPLS networks.
• Experience in encrypted Public Safety Network / Telstra LANES, UHF/VHF radio communications, 4G LTE/5G, Satellite and Microwave Data solutions
Key accountabilities:
• Develop solution architect of the future state solution design for the upcoming projects solution including Base Station, Radio Spectrum, Backhaul network integration, network & endpoint security, cyber security, server, server core, track/trackside, smart infrastructure and monitoring.
• Review the end-to-end solution architecture to ensure alignment with business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, enabling future user cases, architectural principles & Cyber security strategy.
• Govern the development of end-to-end program solution architecture, high level design and requirements that feed into the Business Case, EOI & RFP. Articulating process and approach for migration to new solution.
• Ensures design integrity and cohesion such that architecture baselines are approved, change is controlled, dependency and cross-architecture interfaces are defined
• Coordinates configuration change control for changes for Technical / Process / Data architecture future state design.
• Facilitates peer review with stakeholders of solution architecture documents with architecture review boards. Collaborates with other architects enterprise/domain/technical to ensure that the solution is consistent and compatible with the overall architecture vision, principles and strategy
• Evaluate Business impact of proposed solution/s (as presented from respondents to procurements), Inform various stakeholders about any issues with the technical solutions being proposed.
