£55,523 to £62,867 per annum
40 Hours per week (5 days) / 52 weeks per year
Based from Corporate Offices, Ruskin Mill College, Nailsworth, Near Stroud
We have an exciting opportunity for an English law qualified solicitor with circa 3 years PQE (post-qualification experience) to assist and support the Head of Legal Services to provide a pragmatic in-house legal advice service to the Ruskin Mill Trust Group and Ruskin Mill Land Trust Group and to support the mitigation of risk arising from any legal, regulatory, compliance or governance issues.
Main Duties will include:

To provide legal advice to the Trustees and senior leaders of the Ruskin Mill Trust Group and Ruskin Mill Land Trust Group in all areas as required.
To provide a professional, effective and compliant support service to the Trust across all categories including: property, commercial, contracts and contractual disputes, relevant regulatory matters, charity law and to pro-actively network internally and externally and to identify and implement best practice.
To take the legal lead on property matters across the Trust working in particular with colleagues in the property team, assisting in the review of leasehold portfolio, implementing required amendments and ensuring all documentation is up to date and registered.
To lead as required on property acquisitions and assisting colleagues across the Trust with legal matters arising from capital development projects.
Assist in the development and application of legal best practice within policies and procedures plus in terms of organisational risk reduction.
Review and ensure all contractual arrangements which involve the Ruskin Mill Trust Group are professionally and appropriately drawn up and meet the objects of the Trust, and that all contractual requirements are recognised and met.

You may be required to travel to other Trust sites and evening and weekend work may be required.
