We are a boutique generalist law firm with three offices based in the North Brisbane region. We have extensive experience in a wide range of areas of law including Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, Conveyancing and Property Law, Litigation, Wills and Estates, and Commercial and Corporate Law.
Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Lawyer with 3+ Years PAE to join our team on a full-time basis.
This role is based in the Bracken Ridge Office.
You will manage your own files in a variety of matters, including:
Family Law Wills and Estates Commercial/Civil Property (Residential and Commercial) The successful applicant will have post-qualification experience in all, or some, of the above matters.
The Applicant To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have:
A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3+ years plus post-admission experience is preferred. Extensive knowledge of a wide range of areas of Law. High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent ability to time manage, multi-task and prioritise. A positive and professional attitude towards colleagues and clients. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Interest in building and developing strong relationships with clients. Ability and working knowledge of time record/billable hours. Ability to manage a large volume of files. Previous experience with LEAP Legal Software is desirable but not essential. Experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating retail and commercial leases. Experience in performing contract review and providing contract advice for residential and commercial properties (including off-the-plan). Experience in drafting Wills, EPOAs and Advance Health Directives as well as estate litigation material in Queensland. Experience in conducting meetings with clients to take their instructions, drafting correspondence and legal documents. Tasks & Responsibilities Including but not limited to:
Appear in various courts and tribunals including Magistrates, District & Supreme and Family Courts if required. Provide high quality legal information, advice, and representation within our generalist legal practice. Take a leadership role in supervising and mentoring early career lawyers, law students, paralegals, and legal administration staff.
