Respect, Energy and Effort, Attitude and Leadership encapsulates what we stand for at Fulton Hogan and encourage us to foster a diverse and inclusive culture where we listen to, care for, celebrate, and respect everyone.What's on offer?We are looking for an experienced Soil Technician to join our team and help the Laboratory Manager establish the laboratory with soil testing capabilities and carry out both field and laboratory testing across a broad range of test methods.Core responsibilities will include:Assist Laboratory Manager with achieving NATA ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in soils;Undertake and assist with laboratory and field testing;Maintain and check testing and calibration equipment as required;Manual handling and use of computers;Prioritize laboratory testing in consultation with the Supervisor and customers;Adhere to the Quality and Management System and contribute to the continuous improvement;Follow workplace health and safety practices.How you'll connect to the role?A minimum 3 years experience in construction materials testing (Experience with stabilised materials advantageous);Has demonstrated experience in laboratory and field testing in soils, aggregates and/or Asphalt to relevant standards (AS1289, AS1141, AS2891, TfNSW methods);Has an understanding of NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and NATA approved Signatory;Strong Analytical skills;Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling;Good verbal and written communication;Self-motivation with ability to work with minimal supervision;Current Australian Drivers Licence essential;Nuclear gauge license (preferred) with experience in Field Nuclear;Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (preferred);White card;Commitment to safety, quality, and integrity;Attention to detail, high level of accuracy;Ability to work overtime, weekends, and work away from time when required.The pre-employment process will involve a medical check including drug and alcohol screening.Want to be paid well for the Good Work you do?
