This position is responsible for the management and performance of the development and quality assurance team, working in collaboration with project and service delivery teams to enable Standards Australia's digital ambitions.What you'll doLead and Manage the Development Teams to achieve their best by creating a high-performance cultureWork with the Product Owners and the Delivery Manager to plan and execute projectsEstablish accurate estimates for timelines and ensuring projects meet deadlinesDrive the SDLC by managing and coordinating resources and continuously deploy high-quality releasesEstablish modern software development practices including agile, CI/CD pipelines, code management and peer reviewsEstablish reliable application testing practices using a mix of automation and other techniquesManage performance of offshore and vendor teams, ensuring consistency of work output and high levels of engagementDevelop and maintain a wide range of technical capability in the team, including full stack development, Salesforce, Mulesoft and Native App developmentPromote the design and development of customer centric solutions with a focus on high quality and cost efficiencyManage the team, by facilitating formal employee performance reviews, administering short to medium terms objectives and providing regular ad-hoc feedbackAttract talent, motivate the team, and keep them highly engagedAbout you10+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years of experience leading software engineering teamsProven leadership experience using modern practices and tools; more specifically extensive exposure to full-stack software engineering, quality assurance and testingStrong management experience with a record of attracting and growing great teamsStrong .NET, enterprise integration, and web application architecture experienceExperience with secure software development tools and practicesPassion for bringing the right talent into the organisation, maintaining diversity, and keeping the team engagedExtensive experience supporting multiple cross functional teams through the development lifecycle to deliver continuous value at scaleExtensive experience leading testing and quality assurance teams into an automated/continuous testing methodologyExtensive experience managing external providers to develop solutions in line with business requirements and company software development and testing practicesDemonstrable involvement or engagement with the Development, Continuous/automated testing and Agile communityExperience with configuring, integrating to and testing SaaS solutionsCulture & BenefitsStandards Australia is proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
