What you'll do
You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale, high-traffic backend systems for the Everyday Rewards (EDR) platform that supports 2 million weekly active users across Australia & New Zealand. This role is within the Realtime Loyalty (RTL) tribe, which is responsible for the core loyalty functionality of the EDR program.
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant backend services
Implement clean, well-documented, and efficient code using TypeScript
Deploy and manage backend services on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform
Leverage a monorepo to streamline development and collaboration across our engineering squads
What you'll bring
Proven experience as a robust senior software engineer within highly scalable environments
Strong proficiency in NodeJS/ TypeScript and object-oriented programming principles
Demonstrated experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Be passionate about problem solving and looking for new ways to find solutions
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
