We're looking for a senior Swift engineer to join our team in Hobart, Australia. You'll join our product team and build and maintain next generation Procreate products and features. Your experience in Swift and technical architecture will amplify our team's impact on the creative industry.
What you'll do Work closely with designers to turn prototypes into shippable product Deliver major features to millions of artists Provide technical leadership through mentoring, library development and code review Solve complex and unique technical problems Required Skills A deep understanding of Swift and its type system (Rust experience also counts) Understanding of multi-threaded concurrency and parallelism approaches Experience making technical decisions for a team and seeing them through Experience debugging, profiling and resolving performance problems A strong track record of developing libraries used by teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bonus Skills Experience with diverse languages that have alternate paradigms to Swift, such as C, Haskell and Rust Experience with UIKit Competence in linear algebra, being comfortable with matrices and vectors Being well versed in testing approaches, such as property testing What to expect in your first 12 months Complete the Procreate onboarding process Take ownership of your first initiatives Provide support to our existing products Build an understanding of our product development practices Prepare and support the execution of core product features Ship product We want to hear from you.
