We currently have multiple Software Engineering opportunities available to be a part of this program. This will be a fixed term contract up to July 2025.
What's the opportunity? The Software Engineer will design, develop and maintain software applications that are useable, robust and scalable. You will implement best practice design and user experience, ensuring that the software meets both functional and non-functional requirement of Telstra Health and its customers. Analysing requirements and developing documents which specify solutions to these requirements is key.
Key responsibilities Produce secure, high performance, maintainable code using industry best practices.Ensure that developed software meets the business aims of the company and its customers.Participate in the entire software development lifecycle from the concept state through to release.Work with QA, BA, developers and UX to ensure development quality is maintained at the highest standard.Provide technical solutions in terms of code, design and industry best practices to ensure a quality product.Document technical designs to enable stakeholders and governance teams to review and endorse solutions being implemented.Development of new functionality as well as refactoring, troubleshooting and addressing defects found.Output is developed and adequately tested against defined criteria.Troubleshoot and resolve issues / defects found.Ensure that the systems developed have appropriate logging and error reporting, so that they can be monitored in production.Keeps abreast of new technology and consider using it where appropriate.Provides guidance and direction to other developers.About you Skills and experiences: Min 4+ years' experience in software development, including exposure to all facets of the SDLC.Clear understanding and experience of working in Agile Software development framework specially particularly TDD / BDDStrong experience with Web application using Java, Spring, Hibernate, JDBCProven experience on HTML 5 and CSS/SCSS.Strong experience with at least one modern front-end framework such as Angular, React, StencilDatabase development using a relational database.End to end software integration.Development testing knowledge - Unit testingHealth industry and integration (HL7, FHIR) experience desiredQualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications (technology).Highly regarded: Java certifications in software development or database development.What are some of the benefits of the business?
