About the role Flex is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer in Test specialized in automation and functional testing to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will drive the quality assurance strategy by designing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions. You will collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure robust testing of new and existing features, ensuring our software products are reliable, scalable, and high-performing. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality, skilled in automation frameworks, and able to mentor the engineering team in best testing practices.
What you'll do Partner with product and engineering to understand and clarify test requirements Develop a comprehensive automation testing strategy to support mobile, web and API releases Provide innovative technical solutions to enhance existing automated testing frameworks and support the development of new testing capabilities Design and write robust tests that promote stability and maintainability Identify and assist in resolving issues with automated tests Partner with your quality engineering peers to develop test plans to support our releases Improve our release testing efficiency by automating common QA tasks Champion quality engineering best practices and drive adoption of quality improvements Qualifications 5+ years of experience in web and mobile testing with a focus on automation 3+ years of experience in integration testing and UI automation Extensive experience testing web services and RESTful APIs Proficient in developing automated tests using Playwright, Maestro or similar tools Experience supporting high-volume traffic web applications Experience with source control using Git Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools Ability to work independently, owning project and quality outcomes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong understanding of SQL and RDBMs Professional working proficiency with English Experience with Java and React applications Experience with observability tools, cloud infrastructure, distributed services The salary compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $179,000-$194,000
For all other states, the base salary pay range will be $197,000-$213,000
