Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, located in our Sydney or Perth offices.
Reporting to the Head of Software with a dotted line to the SME/Product Owner and supported by a ML Engineer, the role will lead the development of a cutting-edge product focusing on improving rail network capacity.
There are 5 categories of delivery, in order of client priority:
Extract Transform and Load "ETL" of disparate data sources of varying quality into an aligned view accessible through a digital twin and integrated to production planning.Increased predictive maintenance capability through applied machine learning.Integration of human collected data (track inspectors) and absorbing customisations which will become redundant with a future transition to SAP S4 Hanna ERP from SAP ECC.The role also includes occasional travel to Brisbane.
About you You are driven, innovative and thrive when rapidly solving problems.Proficient in Java, Python or C++ with front-end experience with a modern web framework.Demonstrated capability in delivering simple solutions to complex problems.Experience solving problems using ETL pipelines on large datasets where performance was mission critical.Experience within the asset health and predictive analytics domain is ideal but not necessary.Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.Enjoy working in a dev team with a large range of skills.Passionate about product quality and writing clean, testable code.BSc (or higher) in computer science / software engineering.We know that years of experience isn't what defines greatness in this field; a guide is 3-5 years but we are seeking the best in the field.High impact in a team that is disrupting and solving long-standing challenges.World-class team culture in a growing, profitable tech company.Grade 1 centrally located offices, with end of trip facilities.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.
