Position Overview: Senior Software EngineerAs a Senior Software Engineer at Leap in!, you will contribute to the ongoing success and development of our technology. Working within the Technology team and reporting to the Chief Product and Technology Officer, you will design, develop, and maintain software systems that enhance our ability to support NDIS participants. This permanent role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the disability community through innovative technical solutions.Why Join Us?Join a team making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.Be part of a growing organisation committed to diversity and inclusion.Task & ResponsibilitiesPlanning and AnalysisCollaborate with systems analysts, engineers, and project teams to design efficient systems.Gather requirements to understand project limitations, performance needs, and interface compatibility.Analyse user needs and software requirements, ensuring feasibility within time and budget constraints.Designing and DevelopmentDesign, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.Develop testing, validation procedures, and documentation to ensure systems meet required specifications.Modify existing software to improve performance or adapt to new hardware requirements.Testing, Evaluation, and InstallationCoordinate software installations, monitoring equipment to ensure specifications are met.Test new programs for accuracy and effectiveness, evaluating systems to enhance performance.Customer InteractionLiaise with customers and internal departments to discuss project status, proposals, and technical issues.Make presentations to stakeholders and provide guidance on software maintenance and performance.Documentation and MaintenanceWrite and maintain operational and code documentation throughout development.Consistently update client databases and document system changes as needed.Qualification & ExperienceTertiary qualifications in Computer Science or related field.At least five years of relevant work experience.Proven experience in software development, with a solid understanding of Leap in! proprietary systems and integration workflows.Proficiency in programming, with knowledge of various computer languages, data structures, networking, and distributed computing concepts.Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client and team interactions.Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and adapt to dynamic work environments.Knowledge of database management, security, encryption, and documentation best practices.About Leap in!Leap in! is Australia's leading NDIS plan manager, dedicated to helping people with disabilities live their best lives by supporting them in navigating the NDIS.
