The role: We are seeking a talented and motivated fullstack Software Engineer to join our dynamic enterprise domain team at oOh!media. The enterprise stack adopts a 3-tier application architecture with integration applications that follows serverless approach, using Node.js or Python for backend or serverless and React for frontend. You will be applying DORA identified best practices to ensure our CI/CD, security and testing processes enable you to deliver high quality, maintainable software solutions.
Key responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend/serverless applications using Node.js (express) and Python on AWS.Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React and/or Django ORM.Architect and implement microservices and serverless solutions leveraging AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and other cloud-native services.Develop robust, scalable, and efficient database solutions using PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of deployed applications.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices for software development.Optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.In order to be considered for this role: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.5-7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Node.js and/or Python.Strong experience with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudWatch.Expertise in building serverless applications on AWS focusing on event-driven design.Familiarity with Docker and other container orchestrations in AWS (EKS or ECS).Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.Proficient in building and managing CI/CD pipelines for deploying AWS architectures (e.g. GitActions).Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like AWS CDK, AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.Strong understanding of RESTful/SOAP API design and implementation.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Ideally have exposure with Golang and AWS CDK.Our Benefits: You flex– We are all different and we recognise that.
