The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is accountable for ensuring Enterprise Services (ES) will attract, develop, and retain the best people, enhancing our reputation as an agile Engineering and Architecture led Technology organization, creating simple and enduring products and services for our employees, customers, and shareholders. As a member of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation. Our CTO products and services are leveraged across all Business Unit Platforms within the Bank to deliver industry-leading software including: CommBank App, Netbank, CommSee, CommSec, CommBiz, and Commbank.com.au.

We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We're interested in hearing from people who: Analyse systems and applications and provide recommendations for enhancement and development.Contribute to the technical design of system enhancements.Perform software development and quality control of software developed by a geographically dispersed team.Work within a team environment and provide assistance in the management and leadership of your team and complete associated tasks.Follow release and change processes in the compilation and distribution of software builds and releases to development and test environments, as well as system updates into production.Troubleshoot complex deployment and environment issues.Assist with preparation and documentation of deployment and configuration scripts for development, test, and production environments. We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team:
Demonstrated experience programming/software development (PROG).Knowledge and experience in the area of application development and design specialization.Technical experience and understanding of technology.Demonstrated experience with continuous delivery technologies, CI / CD solution design, and implementation.GitHub / GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Artifactory, Ansible, Containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, Python.Automation (PowerShell, Shell Scripting).Infrastructure as Code, Cloud (AWS).
