Senior Social Worker - Northern Cancer ServiceRelational skills for engaging and communicating with both patients and colleagues in person-centred and trauma informed ways.
A commitment to engaging in quality improvement initiatives, reflective practice and clinical reasoning all for the purpose of best patient outcomes.
A demonstrated understanding of and ability to provide services to patients living with life limiting conditions, chronic disease and acute conditions.
Three years' experience and/or post graduate specialty in oncology or palliative care services.

Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 pro rata per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.Benefits available to eligible candidates: Professional development and accelerated pathways.Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.Degree in Social Work giving Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
