A little about the role Due to steady growth in our South West QLD region, we have a new opportunity for a Senior Social Worker to join our team, with the option to be based at our Ipswich or Toowoomba offices.
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will take a leadership position within the fostering services team and provide mentoring and practice support with a focus on the delivery of quality, evidenced-based social work services.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Providing supervision and coaching to carers to support them to develop their skills and behaviour management strategies.Providing specialist advice on more complex or sensitive cases and practice issues that are responsive to the changing needs of children, young people, carers and families.Working closely with the Key Assets Recruitment and Panel Manager and Placements Manager to ensure the program is adequately resourced and placements are matched in line with the program procedures.Ensuring compliance with child protection procedures and Key Assets policies and procedures.Modeling a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Kinship and Foster Care program, focusing on systems and processes that will improve outcomes for clients.The base salary for this position is $97,377.80 - $101,787.92 / annum (based on 1.0 FTE) + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum.
This position is full-time, ongoing.
