As part of the Court Services and Liaison Team, you will provide high quality social work service to respond to the needs of those engaged in the Family Law system.
The roles are responsible for:
Undertaking complex case work in care and protections frameworks, child protection investigations and child-centred family assessments. Providing high-level evidence based written and verbal reports. Coordinating responses to Family Law Courts request for information via court orders or the Notice of Risk and facilitating the sharing of information and knowledge to DCP offices. Providing evidence in court proceedings as required. Undertaking home visits and devising support plans for parents, caregivers and family members to ensure child safety where appropriate. About You We are looking for a motivated, organised individual who has the ability to understand factors that contribute to child abuse within the context of child development, parenting, family and environmental factors and confidently apply this understanding to your work and the decisions you make.
To be successful, you will have experience in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating interventions aimed at meeting the needs of clients, families and the organisation.
You will have high-level written and verbal communication skills, be a team player and have the ability to develop strong networks with key professionals and families.

Special Conditions Essential Qualifications AHP: A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
