Through a multidisciplinary approach encompassing Primary Health Care (PHC), Public Health Programs, and Health Promotion Activities, we strive to enhance the wellbeing of our residents.Our Vision: Representing the aspirations and interests of our diverse communities, we are dedicated to keeping Yarnangu strong on Country.The Opportunity: This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead the development of a Family, Domestic, and Sexual Violence (FDSV) framework using community-led co-design principles, focusing on Yarnangu perspectives, cultural values, and storytelling traditions (Tjukurla).
You will drive the creation of a comprehensive framework, develop foundational program logic to inform consultations, and ensure the framework is culturally appropriate, inclusive, and accessible.
Central to the role is building meaningful relationships with Aboriginal communities, Elders, and leaders, while fostering partnerships with key organizations to enhance service delivery and support systems.As part of this position, you will facilitate community consultations and workshops, conduct needs assessments to identify service gaps, and support capacity-building initiatives for the Yarnangu workforce to promote employment opportunities and community engagement.
You will work with specialists to monitor and evaluate engagement strategies and framework effectiveness, maintain accurate program records, and prepare detailed reports with practical recommendations.
By reflecting on social work practices and incorporating evidence-based approaches, you will contribute to advancing FDSV services and establishing clear service maps and referral pathways to drive lasting change.This role offers the chance to engage in regular supervision to critically reflect on practice and support ongoing professional development.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to and participate in a community of practice, sharing lessons learned, collaborating on innovative solutions, and expanding networks to address common challenges.About You: You are a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker with at least 3 years of experience in Social Work, including work in Family, Domestic, and Sexual Violence (FDSV) with Aboriginal remote communities.
You bring a strong foundation in addressing the health and wellbeing challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, particularly those living in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands.
You are committed to trauma-informed practice and have a deep understanding of the unique needs of these communities.Your proven ability to plan, implement, and evaluate service delivery models includes applying quality improvement principles and practices.
You have experience in community engagement and co-design approaches, as well as strong stakeholder management skills, contributing to effective collaboration in multidisciplinary teams.
You possess excellent written and oral communication skills, maintain a high level of integrity in client confidentiality, and are able to work independently or as part of a team.You have the ability to foster a connected and inclusive community by promoting respectful and empowered engagement, while ensuring compliance with WH&S policies and procedures.
