Senior Social Worker AHP3 Job no: 886498 Work type: Part time Location: Adelaide Hills, South East, Murray and Mallee, Adelaide CBD Categories: Allied and Scientific Health, Community and Social Services, Child, Aged and Disability Care Women's and Children's Health Network, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Mount Gambier (5290) Murray Bridge (5253), Mount Barker (5251) and Riverland (5343) Salary Classification - AHP3 - Allied Health Professional L3 - $ 104,180 to $ 111,746 Employment Part time - Ongoing Permanent About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team as a Senior Social Worker where you will be responsible for: The provision of expert clinical knowledge and or interventions in child and adolescent mental health through the application of professional standards and adherence to policies, protocols and procedures and working within a model of client centred care.
Undertaking the assessment of complex individuals and families' presentations, using expert knowledge and techniques available from a variety of therapeutic approaches, to determine the most appropriate interventions, using significant degree of independent clinical decision making.
Provide expert knowledge in monitoring client care plans and clinical review programmes/audits to ensure quality client outcomes.
Assist more junior staff with complex clinical work through co-work of complex cases and co-leading with the team psychiatrist and other expert practice clinicians the clinical discussions within the multidisciplinary meetings.
Working collaboratively with consumers in the development of individual care/treatment plans using a recovery framework.
Contributing to a team environment, which promotes positivity, learning and development, safety, and welfare of employees, acknowledges cultural and personal differences, and encourages creativity, innovation, and honesty.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
The ability to work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision, direction and be able to supervise other professionals and students.
Extensive clinical experience in the delivery of social work practice to children and adolescents, with advanced clinical experience in the delivery of at least one clinical modality relevant to Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
The ability of developing, designing, implanting, and evaluating preventive and or Therapeutic programs.
Demonstrated ability to carry out assessments and interventions of a highly complex nature with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, and their families using a range of theoretical models in assessment and intervention.
Extensive experience in the area of supervision of clinical staff.
