We are currently seeking a Principal Social Researcher to join us on a 9-Month Fixed Term basis.  Your New Role Reporting to our Transmission Social Performance Manager, you will provide subject matter expertise and guidance in producing valuable business intelligence through in-depth customer research and data analysis. Accountable to create and embed the process of how Western Power will gather social research and utilise it to support and guide the development of the strategic community engagement strategies for the transmission programs.  Accountable for implementing the transmission social research activities. Develop highly engaging written reports and visual aids (e.g., interactive dashboards, PowerPoint slide packs) that effectively communicate and deliver actionable customer insights to the Senior Leadership Team and other internal stakeholders. Accountable for the review, analysis, and provision of insights into Western Power's customer data that adds value and meets requirements of stakeholders. Lead the discussion and thinking in how to inject external thinking into our social licence strategy development for transmission. Lead research on the implications of changing 'market' (includes technology, customer demand, government policy or regulatory etc changes) conditions to inform transmission program decision making. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance as part of a cross functional working community delivering tailored outcomes for customers and stakeholders by providing an authentic, positive and 'can do' approach, with a bigger picture perspective. Lead the delivery of the transmission customer data analysis and insights with a clear and simple style of communication to drive significant business value. About You Qualification in an analytical or quantitative discipline (Business, Commerce, Management, Statistics or Marketing etc.) A seasoned professional in technical expertise and knowledge in the field of social research and data analysis to provide meaningful insights Demonstrated experience undertaking research and analysis across areas such as social issues facing communities; impacts and opportunities of renewable construction projects. Strong negotiation and relationship skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation including C Suite Excellent communication and presentation skills including demonstrated ability to consult, guide and influence decision makers using appropriate authority. Demonstrated experience in dealing with large volumes of complex data and managing demanding customer and interested stakeholders. Demonstrated management of consultants, including project delivery, budgeting, and reporting Highly developed analytical skills required to be applied to complex organisational challenges and opportunities.
