Join us in designing innovative solutions that will shape the way buildings are maintained and operated.In this role, you will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for the advisory and design of advanced technologies in modern, smart and iconic projects throughout Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring coordination with other disciplines and meeting client needs.Day to day tasks would involve:Provide design support in ICT for our various offices and projects across Australia for the design of local area networks (LAN), including racks, network devices, containment, cabling and physical spaces.Contribute to the design of various ICT systems, including access control, security, video surveillance, wireless coverage, audio-visual, building automation, guard calls and public calls systems.Prepare technical documents for planning, preparation of specifications and drawings, calling of tenders and providing construction service support including testing and commissioning.Maintain strong customer relationships for the execution of projects and participate in business development.Support other Project Engineers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction.Provide support and mentoring to Junior staff members.Support clients and internal customers on technical queries.To be successful for this role you'll need:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent training in networking and computer science.RCDD, CCNA or CISSP certifications are considered an asset.Experience in the design of physical infrastructure and network cabling (telecommunications rooms, server rooms, cable tray, interconnection, etc.).Experience in designing or implementing service of one of the following systems: DAS, wireless coverage, real-time location, VoIP, public call, intercom and building automation.General understanding of network protocols and concepts (IP addressing, subnet masks, VLAN, link aggregation, DHCP protocol, etc.).Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (AS/NZ, IEC, ANSI / TIA, BICSI, IEEE, CSA, OBC, NBC).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Able to innovate based on customer and industry requirements.Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.What we offerAlong with a competitive salary we offer many other benefits to ensure your professional development & wellbeing is ongoing.Flexible Working Arrangements including purchasing up to 4 weeks additional leave and provision for school term contracts, job sharing and part-time employment.Learning and Talent Development Programs including Global programmes, online learning and on-the-job learning.Mentoring for your own development and the opportunity to mentor others.Professional Memberships.Income Continuance Insurance (ICI).Service Recognition Awards.Employee Assistance Program.About UsThe Stantec community unites approximately 31,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents.
