Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital
The Sleep Investigation Laboratory is a 6 bed state-of-the-art facility at Royal North Shore Hospital, a tertiary teaching hospital of Sydney University. We provide a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment service, encompassing polysomnography, non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiLevel PAP) and specialty daytime studies (MSLT/MWT) for 1400 patients annually. The laboratory is fully accredited for advanced medical specialty training, and contributes to the international advancement of sleep medicine through innovative research, development, training and quality management.
What you'll be doingYou will be part of our multidisciplinary team of medical, scientific, nursing and administrative professionals involved in diagnosing and managing a wide range of sleep-related disorders. Duties will include scoring PSG studies, preparing reports, conducting daytime tests, and supporting weekly CPAP and Respiratory Failure Clinics.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Degree in science or applied science from an approved tertiary institution requiring a minimum of 3 years full-time study, or such qualifications as deemed equivalent.
Proficiency in sleep study analysis and reporting and conducting daytime vigilance (MSLT /MWT) tests according to ASA/AASM criteria and protocols.
Demonstrated ability to undertake and complete tasks with minimal supervision and work successfully in a multidisciplinary team environment.
