We are now seeking an experienced Senior Site Supervisor to join our team for a range of civil construction projects across Geelong and Greater Melbourne. Initially, the role will be based on one of Melbourne's largest infrastructure projects in the Eastern Suburbs.
The Role: As the Senior Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the field staff, supervising and delivering construction projects while managing the daily activity at RMA worksites. You are responsible for managing your team, ensuring health and safety codes and standards are followed, and that work is completed to schedule, financial budget and according to quality standards. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will work in a team environment, consult with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders as well as performing other tasks and duties as required.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Supervise & Deliver Construction Projects as specified to program, financial budget and adhering to safety and quality standards. Assist the Construction Manager in developing and implementing works program, as well as project budget and construction program.Conduct daily Toolbox meetings, pre-start meetings and site inductions with a commitment to safety.Provide leadership, mentoring and team building.Lead your team on construction safety regulations and safe work practice, always ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.Perform routine site inspections including but not limited to quality, safety traffic management, site set up and working conditions.Work closely with the Construction Manager, Engineers and other stakeholders as required.Manage team time sheets and entitlements (e.g., breaks, TIL, overtime, leave) in accordance with legislation.About You: Ideally, you have demonstrated experience in the civil construction industry and have worked on a wide range of civil infrastructure projects. You possess knowledge and skills in delivering projects in accordance with specifications and Australian Standards. You have a strong background in managing projects, daily planning and delivering of works, while possessing strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues that arise in a construction environment.
You are a strong leader with effective communication, people management skills and conflict resolution skills, and you support and motivate your team to reach their full potential. You also have the ability to collaborate both professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You are self-motivated, show initiative, and take accountability and pride in your work. You possess a solutions-driven work ethic, with the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks.

To succeed in the role, you will also require:
Minimum 7-year experience as a Senior Supervisor or similar role.Ability to read and interpret Civil Construction project plans.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Certificate III in Civil Construction or other relevant qualification or related work experience.Experience Supervising within Tier one projects, highly regarded.Competency with the use of computers, scheduling software, relevant project management software and spreadsheets.Current RIW (Rail Industry) highly desirable.First Aid certifications.A valid Australian driver's license is required, preferably inclusive of a HR/HC truck license.Consent to a pre-employment medical with our medical provider if required.A recent Police Record Check may be required in addition to the ability to legally work within Australia.To Apply: If you have high levels of initiative, are self-driven and enjoy a challenge, we would love to hear from you!
