In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in helping us better understand and respond to the evolving needs of our unique and diverse community.As a Senior Service Planning Officer, your ability to simplify complex information, summarise large bundles of data, and draw out key points and recommendations will drive informed decision-making across the organisation. You'll craft compelling narratives, create visually engaging reports, and develop concise briefs and slide packs that are easily understood by all stakeholders.With a growth mindset, you will drive projects that identify solutions to emerging service provision challenges. This includes applying suitable project management approaches, developing project plans, and proactively managing the process from start to finish. The strategic planning you undertake will be evidence and data led, helping to establish an understanding of the future service needs for the Wyndham community and create innovative recommendations to address them. Building and fostering collaborative partnerships, both internally and externally, will be key to your success.Your comprehensive understanding of community services, data analysis, and strategic planning will position you at the forefront of Service Planning at Wyndham City.What you will deliverAnalysis of social, demographic, asset, and service data to identify service demands and gaps.Engaging community and stakeholder interactions to guide service delivery strategies.Innovative ideas and solutions on how to deliver future services affordably and effectively.Clear, visually engaging reports, briefs, and slide packs that present data and insights in exciting, accessible ways.Strategic documents which harness a strong narrative to support decision-making by Council and the Executive Leadership Team.What you will bringA growth mindset with a focus on solutions and continuous improvement.Proficiency in data analysis, research, and social planning, with the ability to synthesise large, complex datasets and present them in a clear and actionable manner.Exceptional written communications skills, with the ability to create concise, visually captivating reports, briefs, and presentations.Expertise in strategic, service, or infrastructure planning, supported by substantial experience in the community service sector.Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects plans, define scopes, and adapt to project changes when required.Tertiary qualifications in public policy, social sciences, community development, strategic planning, human services or related disciplines, along with several years of relevant work experience.Flexibility, adaptability, and proactive approach to managing multiple projects and deadlines.What's next?If you think this role might be for you, we want to hear from you.
