Job Description The Supportive Housing – Hope Street team are based at Brisbane Common Ground. Each element of supportive housing, from building to support service design, aims to create the greatest degree of empowerment and independence for people. Supportive Housing – Hope Street uses the Housing First model.
As a Senior Service Coordinator, you will provide direct planned support to tenants, staff, and the Team Leader in managing daily matters of the team.
This is a permanent full-time employment opportunity with conditions and salary at Level 6 of the SCHADS Award.
Desired Skills and Experience Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:Promote a culture of respect, safety, and trauma-informed approaches. Support team wellbeing and resilience. Ensure effective communication and teamwork. Manage workloads and problem-solving in a high-demand environment. Assist with administrative, practice, and quality requirements. Service Delivery:Provide direct support to tenants at Brisbane Common Ground. Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. Offer excellent customer service and problem-solving. Engage with tenants in various settings (Concierge, common areas, units). Work as a collaborative member of the multidisciplinary team. Provide mentoring and guidance as needed. Professional Practice:Participate in supervision and professional development. Maintain accurate and consistent organizational data and records. Manage workload and self-care. Relevant qualification in community services or extensive experience. Commitment to cultural diversity and safeguarding principles. Knowledge of IT systems and case management. Positive attitude and ability to work flexibly and proactively. Experience in a senior role, preferably in a residential setting. Experience working with participants facing homelessness, substance use, or mental health issues.
