The opportunity: Join our Cyber Engineering team and lead the development and execution of our Identity Roadmap, focusing on Identity and Access Management (IDAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).

What you will do: Drive the implementation of strategic and tactical information security plans, with a primary focus on Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, including BeyondTrust.
Act as the key point of contact for staff, regulators, and relevant public bodies on Information Security matters, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures to safeguard computer systems, networks, and sensitive information, with a specific focus on managing and securing privileged access.
Identify and define system security requirements, emphasizing PAM architecture and best practices for the protection of critical assets.
Review security engineering assessments in compliance with government standards (e.g., ISM, ASD, NIST, ISO) to ensure the highest level of security.
Promote a culture of security compliance across all units, fostering a secure-by-design approach in every project.
Design security architectures and develop detailed cybersecurity strategies, ensuring robust PAM integration for system protection.
Continuously review and assess existing security processes and controls, improving them to meet the dynamic needs of an agile IT environment.
Liaise with external organizations for thorough security assessments, ensuring PAM and overall security controls remain strong and up-to-date.
Perform audits to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations, and make necessary procedural adjustments to align with industry standards.
Assess security vulnerabilities, focusing on mitigating risks tied to privileged accounts and access, and conduct ongoing security reviews.
Investigate security breaches, particularly those involving privileged access, and implement comprehensive incident response plans.
Continually enhance internal security policies and procedures, with a focus on improving PAM strategies.
Provide recommendations for ongoing development and improvements to keep the organization at the forefront of security best practices, with particular emphasis on PAM and compliance with the latest industry standards.
What we are looking for : Experience with Active Directory or Azure AD.
Strong knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services) Security Services.
Strong knowledge of Azure Security Services.
Strong understanding of Network Security Groups and Application Security Group configuration Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer.
Experience in building and maintaining security systems.
Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security.
Hands on experience in security systems such as IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Security Event Correlation and EDR.
Strong PAM and IDAM experience (Beyond Trust and Okta desired).
Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
SD-WAN + SASE desired but not essential.
Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
(ASD Essential 8, ISM, ISO 27001 and NIST).
Experience in Infrastructure, Platform and Application Security.
Demonstrated experience of Cloud security practices (Azure and/or AWS).
Experience building security response playbooks.
Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH or CISM desired.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
