In this role, you will be integral to enabling our people to work safely and securely, no matter where they are.About Protective Security and this role:Protective Security's role is to create a safe and secure environment for our people while embracing the company's values of inclusion and belonging. You will support the Head of Protective Security in uplifting and delivering Canva's global travel safety and security program, including travel risk assessments and guidance. You'll help coordinate Canva's response processes in the event of an external physical crisis.This role may infrequently involve work during non-core business hours, in response to major global safety or security events.About the group:The Security Group is responsible for protecting Canva's people, spaces, systems, and data from information security threats and physical security threats. Our teams work together with other teams across Canva to prevent, detect, and respond to physical security risks.Role Responsibilities:Develop and implement travel security policies and procedures, providing guidance to travellers and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.Maximise the use of tools and external vendor partnerships to monitor global events that may impact our people.Be integral to Canva's response to geopolitical or physical crises that may impact our people's safety.Assess destination risks from health, environment, and security perspectives.Support the design and delivery of enterprise-wide people security and safety programs.Required Experience:Strong background in security management, crisis response, and risk management.Conducting travel risk assessments or country/geopolitical analysis.Creating travel safety and security processes; providing guidance to travellers.Experience with travel risk management provider(s) or similar tools.Managing cross-functional relationships to accomplish program objectives.Supporting a globally diverse workforce in a corporate, multi-site environment.Beneficial Experience:Understanding of travel security technology and capabilities.A global network of contacts in global security, risk, and crisis response.Experience with security intelligence tools and vendors.What's in it for you?We offer a range of benefits to support your success in and outside of work.Here's a taste of what's on offer:Equity packagesInclusive parental leave policyAn annual Vibe & Thrive allowanceFlexible leave optionsCheck out lifeatcanva.com for more info.Other stuff to knowWe make hiring decisions based on your experience, skills, and passion.
