Security (Information & Communication Technology) Government - State (Government & Defence) Queensland Treasury have an exciting role within our Information Services team as a Senior Security Administrator.
You'll play a vital role in managing and maintaining our security perimeter products and cloud infrastructure, collaborating with a team of dedicated IT professionals.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the ICT strategy of the department, working in a complex and evolving ICT environment.
In this role, you will: Manage Cloud, platform and security configuration, optimising performance and installing/upgrading systems.
Anticipate, investigate and resolve problems for supported technologies, implementing agreed remedies and preventative measures.
Adopt a modern approach to working with technology, including automation and configuration management.
Collaborate closely with all IT colleagues, sharing information and knowledge.
Cross-skill in related technologies, including Palo Alto firewalls and F5 appliances.
Follow documented ITIL practices for incident, request, problem and change activities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Treasury current operations, future business goals, and Whole-of-Government and ICT industry standards and trends.
Employ continuous improvement methods, using feedback from outcomes and learnings to improve ICT Services.
What experience you will bring: Experience in complex ICT environments to ITIL standards.
Experience with security technologies including perimeter (firewalls) equipment.
Experience with DNS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Knowledge of EDR/XDR solutions.
Understanding of security frameworks e.g.
ASD Essential 8, ISMS, ISO27001.
Competency in high level written and verbal communications.
