Biological & Biomedical Sciences (Science & Technology) The company is a leading bioanalytical laboratory providing services for Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Healthcare Organizations.Located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this organization is currently undergoing substantial growth.Permanent role.ASAP Start. About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Scientist who is responsible for pre-project planning, laboratory-based work, data analysis and reporting, overall project leadership and client communication. Duties may include but are not limited to:
Develop detailed project plans for assigned projects. Identify and resolve resource constraints with the relevant Principal Scientist or the management.Receive and process PBMCs.Coordinate and execute all aspects of assigned projects, including method development, SOPs and forms, qualification/validation, technical work, routine data collection, data analysis, data reporting, logistics, timelines, deliverables and resources (staff, reagents).Design, plan, perform, document, and interpret scientific experiments, including method development and validation. Support, and at times lead, maintenance and qualification of technical equipment.Act as the primary scientific liaison for assigned company clients.Manage operational aspects in the laboratory.Support bioanalytical laboratory team members to achieve their best performance.Sign off and record training as per the QMS.Mentor junior staff members in their area of expertise. About you: Bachelor's degree in life sciences, immunology, cellular/molecular biology, or other related area is required. Master's degree or PhD is preferred.Minimum 3-5 years experience working in a GMP regulated environment.Training and experience with Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) techniques is highly preferred.1-2 years experience in PBMC processing.Experience in Sepmate is advantageous.Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.Strong project management, planning and organizational skills.Methodological, thorough and good attention to detail.Flexibility to manage shifting demands and changing priorities, proactively looking for ways to contribute.
