For the future of Queensland and the world.We are looking for a Senior Science Technician to join our team at the Tick Fever Centre to:coordinate laboratory systems for comprehensive document control, quality records maintenance, and databases to fulfil Quality Assurance requirements, according to the code of Good Manufacturing Practiceperform packing of vaccines and other biological products during peak seasonassist with procurement and validation activitiescontribute ideas and be part of a great team!As our Senior Science Technician, you will provide operational services that protect and enhance animal biosecurity and welfare in Queensland.You will know you're achieving success in the role when you:Accurately performing document control in accordance with Standard operating procedures (SOP's) and ongoing compliance with relevant quality management system requirementsAre dedicated to maintaining Australian Pesticides Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) accreditationEnsuring assigned tasks are undertaken promptly and meet the project deliverablesAre actively contributing as a member of a high-performing team.Mandatory requirements:Practical understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice.Vaccination or immunity to Q Fever will be mandatory. Commitment to obtain vaccination or evidence of prior vaccination will be required prior to starting with Biosecurity Queensland.Mandatory qualifications:A Diploma in a scientific field or equivalent academic qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution that can be registered in Queensland.For international qualifications, the applicant will need their qualification assessed, to determine comparability with the Australian Qualifications Framework. The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training can assist with these assessments for Queensland residents.Biosecurity Queensland plays a vital role in securing the state's agricultural prosperity and preserving and protecting the health of our environment and economy.
