About the position
The role involves managing operations within the Inclusive Education facility, ensuring smooth programming and access to educational activities and programs.
This includes overseeing the coordination and allocation of Student Support Officers (SSO) to provide assistance to students in the Senior School.

The primary focus is on working with adolescents, collaborating closely with staff to foster an inclusive education environment.
This requires ensuring that the necessary support systems are in place to meet the needs of students in a supportive, accessible learning setting.

Works term times only, with 2 weeks call back during non-term times.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Experience in managing disability and support services, ideally within an educational environment Previous supervisory and/or coordination experience in providing support services to adolescents and young people (educational, welfare, wellbeing etc.)
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective relationships with people with disabilities A proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients (such as teachers, support staff, students, parents, and members of the school community) Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate programmes and continually review programme outcomes.
An awareness and understanding of legislative obligations of schools regarding disability and the NCCD.
IT proficient Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment Experience in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information Previous experience within a school environment is highly desirable, but not essential.
QUALIFICATIONS (one or more of)
Relevant post-secondary qualifications within relevant occupations such as a degree within youth work, social work, occupational therapy, education, welfare, disability services, or Certificate 4 within youth work, disability, welfare, case management or educational services with extensive experience.
Allied health professionals with appropriate qualifications are encouraged to apply.
