SENIOR SCHOOL CHEMISTRY TEACHER: Grades 7 to 12Role Purpose:Support the strategic directions of the College  (BOYS PRESBYTERIAN SCHOOL) through delivery of effective teaching and learning programs, fostering an inclusive and challenging learning environment and engaging with the school community within and beyond the classroom.Location:Sydney – Eastern SuburbsResponsible To:Head of CurriculumHead of ScienceUltimately responsible to The PrincipalPrincipal Relationships:Principal, Studies Coordinator, T-12 Directors, Head of Students, Housemasters, Head of Department, Students, Parents/CarersKey Accountabilities:Learning and teaching programStudent outcomesStudent welfareAdherence to policy and proceduresKey Tasks and Expected Outcomes:Teaching DeliveryAssessment & ReportingPastoral CarePolicy ImplementationCo-curriculum and SportRelated DutiesProfessional DevelopmentEssential Selection Criteria:Qualification in education and be registered with The NSW Institute of TeachersAbility to teach and lead stage 6 ChemistryAbility to infuse the Christian ethos into teaching practicePropensity to recognise the value and uniqueness of each individual within the College communityCommitment to one's own ongoing learningProfessional and personal integrityBeing flexible and open to changeBeing proactive and innovativeEffective interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work in a collaborative environmentWorking with Children CheckHighly Regarded Selection Criteria:Ability to teach and lead at a senior level stage 6 Chemistry would be an advantage.
