Senior School Community Partnership Facilitator (Identified) - Doomadgee State SchoolThe Senior School Community Partnership Facilitator is a brand-new role under the Department of Education's Partnership Initiative.We are seeking a dedicated Senior School Community Partnership Facilitator (Identified) to join Doomadgee State School on a temporary full-time basis, until 13 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.The successful applicant will work with school staff, students, families, and the wider Doomadgee community, strengthening community connections to improve outcomes for our students.Job detailsPosition status : Fixed Term TemporaryPosition type : Full-timeOccupational group : Education & TrainingClassification : AO7Workplace Location : North West QldJob ad reference : QLD / NQR599145 / 24TYearly salary : $131080 - $140381Fortnightly salary : $5024.30 - $5380.80Job duration : Until 13 Dec 2025 unless otherwise determinedContact person : James CookAbout the RoleAs the Senior School Community Partnership Facilitator, you will:Develop, connect and engage with key school, family and community stakeholders to inform local place-based action plans for shared outcomes as part of the Equity and Excellence Partnership initiative targeting tailored and differentiated support to regional, rural and remote Queensland state school sites.Assist partnership school leaders engage their communities through co-design as well as deliver in-school and cross-agency responses that promote effective service delivery, performance improvement and strengthened community connections.Establish and manage relationships with the First Nations staff / others, Doomadgee Council, Gunawuna Jungai (GJ) community organisation, and agencies.Establish a collaborative working group to provide a centralised platform whereby community voice can be recognised to support broader community outcomes such as improved engagement between the school and community, as well as school-based outcomes such as increased student engagement, increased attendance and a culturally responsive and safe learning environment.Mandatory Requirements for an Identified Role:It is a genuine occupational requirement for Identified roles that the position be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.Verification of Aboriginality and / or Torres Strait Island heritage may be required.Applicants to this position may have to provide confirmation of their Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander heritage.How to ApplyPlease attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant previous work history); andA 1-page written statement about how your achievements and capabilities meet the requirements of the role.We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.Applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.Salary rate shown is reflective of full-time (1.0 FTE).The Department of Education is a family inclusive workplace.
