Reporting to the Scheduler Lead, this role is accountable for project schedule construction and baselining, aligning resource profiles and performance measurement. Schedule accuracy and ongoing maintenance is managed in accordance with Austal's planning standards to ensure schedules and reporting are defensible and used by projects to achieve sustainment objectives. The senior scheduler closely monitors any changes to schedules, impacts to the sequence of activities or logic to ensure the critical path, schedule performance and float calculations within an Earned Value Management EVM system can be used to drive informed and timely decisions by leaders.
What's involved Accountable for the development of high-quality schedules and project baselines to support operational capacity planning and program delivery planning of ISS contracts.Accountable to develop detailed project and activity schedules for each team delivering products within ISS contracts.Accountable for managing the scheduling team and ensure they are delivering consistency and maintaining accurate reliable schedules.Accountable for schedule performance analysis and predictive 'what if' modelling to support decision making around schedule changes.Accountable for developing Earned Value Management reporting and variance controls in conjunction with cost controllers and sustainment managers.Accountable to continually improve the effectiveness of the scheduling and reporting system, interacting with internal and external stakeholders regularly to ensure the system continues to evolve.You'll need Eligibility to hold an Australian Baseline security clearance.5 years' experience in a scheduling role in Shipbuilding (preferred), or defence.Fully Primavera P6 literate with a minimum of 2 years' experience.Knowledge of EVM and related disciplines to enable cost and schedule variance tracking and reporting of performance indicators, including Project forecasting and cost estimation (ETC and EAC).Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.Proven team Management capabilities with 5 years management experience.Working with, and influencing all levels of internal and external stakeholders, including Military, Government and Commercial customers.Professional certification with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) CPPM or above.Why Austal Competitive compensation and benefits package.Professional development and training opportunities.A supportive and dynamic work environment.Opportunities for career advancement within our growing organisation.Our global team is guided by a universal set of values that describe the focus of our efforts.
