By investing in mature systems, enhanced training programs, and a long-term commitment to its people's safety, this organisation is setting the stage for a safer, healthier future.THE ROLEThe Senior Advisor, Operational Safety & Wellbeing will work alongside the Head of Safety & Wellbeing to support the development and delivery of a contemporary Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) management system and strategy that aligns with the business and operational priorities. You will be recognised as a leader in this growing team, providing hands-on technical and practical advice and support across a multisite and geographically dispersed operations team. The role is responsible for managing operational health and safety initiatives and ensuring effective delivery through the management teams. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, you will build strong partnerships to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing performance.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support initiatives while fostering strong partnerships with key stakeholders to drive safety programs and initiatives.Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, conduct risk assessments, and support our safety management system to ensure compliance.Coach leaders at all levels to manage safety and wellbeing risks effectively and cultivate a culture of safety across regions.Develop high-quality reports and oversee safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.Project-manage safety initiatives and contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety and wellbeing programs.EXPERIENCE FOR SUCCESSTertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior occupational health and safety advisory role, with a focus on critical risk.Strong relationship-building skills to support, coach, and influence effectively.Proven communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels, from frontline team members to senior leaders.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment within a supportive team.A proactive approach to finding efficiencies and improvements, fostering a culture of continual improvement.Auditor qualification, Safety Investigation training, and Safety Management System training – desirable.APPLYThis role offers an exciting opportunity to coach, develop, and support leaders in driving operational safety within their teams.
