What you'll do: Taking a leading role for our QLD Rail team within Safety Assurance and providing strong technical guidance and oversight to projects within the local team.Striving to offer best practice consulting services to clients throughout QLD and beyond, and relishing in opportunities to lead and collaborate on international projects.Deploying your passion and technical expertise across a number of diverse projects to further continue the growth of an already successful and reputable local SESA capability.Mentoring and developing junior engineers, ensuring that we are cultivating and supporting our fantastic Engineers of tomorrow.A full position description is available on request, but a snapshot of your day-to-day will look like (but not be limited to): Supporting Systems Engineering and assurance teams on multi-disciplinary major rail projects to deliver integrated and assured outcomes.Contributing to the development of Systems Engineering and System/Safety Assurance Management Plans as part of wider management plan schemas.Preparing Systems Engineering management schemas and plans, architectures, and artifacts for systems definition and identification of project interfaces to inform requirements, risk, and integration issues.Performing, reviewing, managing, or assessing hazard analysis, facilitating workshops, and contributing to Safety Assurance processes and preparation of outcomes including Hazard Log, mitigation controls, and assurance arguments.Providing guidance and interpretation of assurance requirements and standards.Managing requirements including derivation, elicitation, and allocation of requirements, verification and validation activities, and managing change as required.Consulting and engaging with stakeholders and design/discipline leads.Mentoring emerging professionals, providing guidance, advice, feedback, and support in the Safety Assurance discipline.About you: You're likely to be experienced in Systems and Safety Assurance, possessing a solid foundation of proven experience in a relevant environment.Influential and with exceptional people skills, you will also be building a genuine market and industry presence with your peers.We would also like you to have: Bachelor's Degree (Engineering) or equivalent (Postgraduate Systems Engineering qualifications are well regarded).Eligibility for RPEQ.Proven and solid experience in relevant engineering, rail, or transport industries as a Systems and Safety Assurance Engineer.Working knowledge and applied understanding of systems, safety, and reliability engineering and assurance processes and standards, such as CENELEC EN50126, EN50128 & EN50129, IEC 61508, IEC 15288, the INCOSE handbook, the iESM handbook, or equivalent.Experience across a broad range of projects and across the full systems engineering or project lifecycle.The ability to work closely with peers in teams and build strong relationships with clients.Interest in building effective networks and industry relationships among peers and clients.The ability to understand client needs, and effectively anticipate, meet, and exceed those expectations.Passionate about delivering better outcomes for Clients and their end users through high quality, high value systems engineering and assurance.About You: Natural connector.Problem solver with a powerful team spirit.Open, curious, adaptable.Someone ready to do the kind of work the world needs.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
