Our Mining Engineering & Geology team have a new opportunity for a Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer to join on a full-time basis based in Perth or Brisbane. The role will support various open cut and underground mining projects.
Key duties and responsibilities include: Provide technical guidance and mentor junior rock mechanics engineersManage field mapping and core logging campaignsSupport pit and underground mine studies by data interpretation and stability analysisPrepare reports and clearly articulate study findings and recommendationsDevelop client relationship and build the businessPrepare proposals including determining methodology and compilation of cost estimationsIdentify safety hazards and report OH&S incidentsConduct all work to satisfy all company, client and government conditions, policies, procedures, regulations and standards, as requiredSkills and qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, mine engineering or equivalentSuitable experience working for mining operations or in consulting would be well regardedExperience with mine design modelling software such as Vulcan and RocscienceMember of the Australasian Institute of Mining and MetallurgyWith us, you can.
