Our Mining Engineering & Geology team have a new opportunity for a Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer to join on a full-time basis based in Perth or Brisbane.
The role will support various open cut and underground mining projects.
Key duties and responsibilities include: Provide technical guidance and mentor junior rock mechanics engineers Manage field mapping and core logging campaigns Support pit and underground mine studies by data interpretation and stability analysis Prepare reports and clearly articulate study findings and recommendations Develop client relationship and build the business Prepare proposals including determining methodology and compilation of cost estimations Identify safety hazards and report OH&S incidents Conduct all work to satisfy all company, client and government conditions, policies, procedures, regulations and standards, as required Skills and qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, mine engineering or equivalent Suitable experience working for mining operations or in consulting would be well regarded Experience with mine design modelling software such as Vulcan and Rocscience Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy With us, you can.
