About the role
The Senior Risk Partner will provide a professional internal consultancy and advisory service with an emphasis on partnering with all levels of management to engage the business to develop and embed a strong risk culture.
By championing the risk management framework, conducting risk assessments and providing advice for decision making, the successful incumbent will influence and engage the business to embed a risk aware culture.
The role plays an important part in the preparation of quarterly reporting for the TAC Risk Committee, Audit Committee and Board by assisting in the drafting of papers, providing risk considerations, coordinating enterprise risk profile updates and creating presentations that detail emerging risks.
You will support the Internal Audit process as required and monitor key action items owned by Enterprise Risk through to timely completion.
You will facilitate the Business Continuity Management process, including the crisis management planning, testing and training.
The role develops and delivers engaging presentations to all level of management, including maintaining the Risk Community of Practice (RCOP) group and educating leaders on positive risk management practices.
You will ensure that the TAC's risk documentation is fit for purpose and work across divisions to drive accountability to address risks to the delivery of the TAC's strategy and operations.
You will have the opportunity to lead and support key pieces of work including the development of effective networks with our interagency partners, monitoring and implementing the VGRMF requirements to ensure the TAC is compliant, enhancing the TAC's Risk Appetite, and work closely with the Strategy team.
About the Team This role is part of the Risk Team within the Enterprise Risk Branch, part of the Performance, Risk and Strategy Division, which is responsible for driving Enterprise risk management.Working closely with a small, high achieving, and adaptable team, you will be joining a collaborative, friendly, and inclusive environment that is highly connected across the organisation and committed to delivering high-impact outcomes.You will be supported by a Senior Manager and Manager Enterprise Risk who has a collaborative management style, working closely with the branch and wider division to foster idea-sharing and involve everyone in problem-solving, while encouraging high levels of autonomy.What we're looking for Experience in a similar role providing consultancy advice for enterprise-wide risk management.Extensive knowledge of risk, controls & mitigation, governance, compliance and best practice risk management.Stakeholder Management & Influence: Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to engage, collaborate, influence and negotiate.Corporate Reporting Expertise: Preparation of high quality risk papers, slides and documentation for presentation to Executive and Board Committees, with the ability to apply insights and analytics to improve organisational outcomes.Why you'll love it here There's more to work than a competitive salary and amazing employee benefits.
