About the Role The Senior Risk & Performance Improvement Analyst is responsible for supporting the effective and efficient monitoring of branchcompliance activities, legislative obligations and objectives, and aligning them with the Department of Transport's strategic priorities.
This role supports the branch in a highly sensitive, reactive and technical environment and ensures best practice is applied with a focus on continuous improvement. The role will support the ongoing accreditation of the CCTV forensic facility to ISO/IEC 17025 standards by assisting with the audit procedures and process.
The duties performed by this position are varied requiring an adaptable and innovative approach..

The role involves establishing critical business processes, policies, and procedures to ensure effective operations within the legislative framework. This includes supporting governance structures, compliance with legislation and agreements, and building relationships with stakeholders. Additionally, it oversees reporting on quality, performance, and risk, supports business processes, and upholds ethical standards. The aim is to foster a culture of regulatory excellence while contributing to various branch initiatives, projects, and tasks as needed.
Digital and technological literacy (Applied)- Guides other in operatingdigital and technology tools relevant to area of work. Understands the impact of internal IT landscape to daily operations; Has broad understanding on implementation activities related to the introduction and ongoing maintenance of new digital and technology tools.
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving (Applied)Resolves issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existingguidelines. Where guidelines are not available, analyses ideas available and takes action through self, or in consultation with others to resolve problems. If required, determine additional information needed to make informed decisions. Applies critical thinking and problem solving concepts in the right context.
Data literacy (Applied)- Considers data sources, collection and structure impacts in the delivery of data analysis. Generates descriptive statistics and relevant data visualisation leading to decisions under the guidance from subject matter experts. Ability to utilise advanced excel formulas, pivot tables and generation of data charts is required.
Communicate with impact (Applied)- Prepares and delivers logical sequential and succinct presentations; Uses clear and concise language; Uses media appropriate to the audience and presents information to develop the understanding of the topic.
Stakeholder management (Applied )Takes steps to add value for the client or stakeholder; Links people with other areas as appropriate; Monitors client and stakeholder satisfaction; Constructively deals with stakeholder issues.
Innovation & continuous improvement (Applied) -Seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to innovate; Offers suggestions and ideas, encourages others to do the same; Leverage on existing continuous improvement systems and procedures to improve outcomes, quality and efficiency of work; Creates space for learning and innovation by seeking for input and feedback from others

Qualifications and Experience Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience will be highly regarded.
