The opportunity Bupa has an opening for Senior Risk and Control Business Partners to join our Risk and Compliance A&NZ team. As a member of the 2LoD, you'll be responsible for enabling the delivery and implementation of the risk management framework within the Business Services teams.
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer - Functions, this role will work with the business to support the application of risk and compliance policy frameworks; facilitating risk and control assessment activity; supporting incident and issue management processes; supporting risk in change and third-party risk management; and driving a risk-aware and engaged culture.
We are seeking two strategic Senior Risk and Control Business Partners: one with deep subject matter expertise in third-party governance, and the other with a strong, senior-level background in sustainability, people risk, and internal risk oversight.
This position is offered as permanent, full-time and may be based at our Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available. Key responsibilities: Engaging and connecting with business leaders to develop, build and maintain knowledge of business objectives, strategy and commercial challenges.Partnering with business leaders in the identification, assessment and management of risks and development of controls.Equipping business management in understanding and monitoring the business risk profile, the status of control environment and in the management of issues and incidents.Ensuring that risk, governance, clinical, quality, health & safety, compliance and Bupa policy requirements are understood and processes established to meet requirements of Bupa A&NZ policies and frameworks.Providing guidance and support for risk management initiatives, training, policy reviews and the use and deployment of risk systems and processes to facilitate risk management activities.What do I need? The Senior Risk and Control Business Partner will demonstrate sound commercial knowledge, be a great communicator and have a passion for supporting risk vs reward assessment. You'll have a natural ability to build a strong and trusting rapport with stakeholders, while maintaining a level of pace to prioritise and manage deliverables.
In addition, you'll bring:
Subject matter expertise within risk in third-party governance or sustainability, people risk and internal risk oversight.Practical risk management expertise, with demonstrable record of success and deep experience working in a heavily regulated setting such as insurance or healthcare.An extremely high level of financial and commercial capability, with proven experience in applying financial and operational performance frameworks to drive successful business outcomes and contractual obligations.Appropriate Tertiary qualifications and professional membership.Why work at Bupa?
