This is a newly created role and a unique opportunity to come into a thriving team in a management capacity. This role includes reviewing and maintaining the company's strategic and operational risk registers in collaboration with the Board and Executive team. The role will build awareness and capability of governance-related issues whilst reviewing and developing policies to manage risk. The incumbent must possess strong research skills and the ability to interpret legislation related to governance and compliance.
Develop, manage and report on Risk Management Framework, ensuring compliance with ISO 31000;
Deliver the Internal Audit Program overseeing and conducting audits in alignment with Australian Auditing Standards & the expectations of the Audit and Risk Committee;
Monitor and report on audit findings, ensuring successful delivery of mitigation plans;
Liaise with staff at all levels to promote awareness of the importance of an effective risk and compliance framework and provide advice on its implementation at the business unit level;
Oversee the management and approval of the policies, including drafting and revising existing policies related to risk management, corporate governance, and compliance.
Ideally the successful applicant will be:
A tertiary degree in legal/finance or business-related discipline;
Certificate in risk management AS/NZ ISO 31000 or equivalent;
Knowledge in Australian Auditing Standards as it applies to the Corporations Act 2001 and ACNC regulatory requirements.
