Adhere to Fortescue's vision and values whilst maintaining a strong field presence and leadership ensuring the promotion of safe work practices to contracting partners and Fortescue staff with the support of the drill compliance and the HSES teamsDevelop, plan and manage the drilling schedules to provide timely data for model generation required by the different planning teams (2YP, 10YP and LOM)Guide and assist the project geologists in analysing and interpreting geological datasets to generate new drilling targets.Liaise with different stakeholders (resource estimation, mining, mine planning, QAQC etc., site and Perth based) to ensure works are completed as efficiently as possibleCoordinate the activities in carrying out the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly work plans and ensure that they are consistently aligned with meeting operational targetsSupervise logging, sampling and validation of RC programs, with the support of project geologists.Drive ongoing operations and geological improvements and technical upskilling of geology team whilst supporting the Superintendent in meeting company objectivesQualifications and Experience

Enthusiastic person seeking to develop their career in a world class company with a passion for innovation and technical excellenceTertiary qualification in Geology with proven experience in a leadership positionExperience in iron ore and Pilbara geology essential, additional experience in different commodities and industries highly regardedSolid understanding of RC drilling, QAQC and the risks associated with earthworks and drilling activities in remote areas of the PilbaraSkilled in Vulcan, ArcGIS and acQuire. Leapfrog is favourableExcellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills alongside experience with contractor management, project planning and executionClass C manual WA driver's licenceOur Commitment
