The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.
The Quality and Innovation Unit provides leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of plans, programs, models and policies for improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Well-being. The Unit will develop and manage to maturity; enhanced service delivery models in new and expanded functional IUIH services and programs.
About the Role?
This temporary 6-month role will support project leads and investigators to coordinate research activity, performance monitoring, milestone delivery and other research-related activity, as necessary. A successful applicant will work collaboratively to identify and support the development of new research opportunities that align with IUIH's strategic plan. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing development of systems, processes and tools to enhance research knowledge, skills and capability across the IUIH network, working closely with the IUIH network and external partners.
Day to Day Duties Include:
Contribute to the collaborative conceptualisation, planning, design and development of research projects. Lead and/or contribute to the development of qualitative methods, tools and resources to support implementation of projects and programs of research. Project manage the delivery of specific research projects according to interests, skills and other current or projected demands on workload, including tracking implementation, workforce allocation, milestone delivery and other requirements. Contribute to the ongoing development of systems, processes, and tools to enhance research knowledge, skills and capability across the IUIH network. Utilise professional knowledge and research expertise, within scope of skill and experience, to deliver in-house skills training and workshops aimed at enhancing research knowledge, skills and capability across the IUIH Network generally, and for the evaluation and research workforce specifically. Share knowledge and skills with individual research staff in the IUIH Network through mentorship and exchange, working alongside others seeking to expand their qualitative research knowledge, capability, and confidence. About You?
Higher Research Degree. Demonstrated skills and experience in research training and mentoring, and in supporting development of research skills, knowledge and capability. Experience in development and implementation of service/program evaluation. Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD). Current Criminal History Check. Desirable, but not mandatory:
Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities. 5 - 10 years qualitative research skills and experience. What Can we Offer?
